It was a sad coincidence that Batsheva Dance Company, the well-known Israeli troupe, opened its two-day run at the Kennedy Center Opera House on the day of a bloody rampage in a Jerusalem synagogue. Batsheva's supremely acrobatic dancers are always a powerful force to behold, but with Tuesday's gruesome news, one's sympathies were deeply aligned with the performers even before their first steps in "Sadeh21," the group's evening-length piece.
